West U residents can recycle paper, electronics, mattresses today

May 1, 2021 by Charlotte Aguilar

The city of West University will hold one of its semi-annual paper-shredding, and recycling events for e-waste and mattresses today (May 1) from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Public Works facility, 3826 Milton St.

Participants will need to show identification proving they are residents of West U.

For the paper shredding, there is a limit of five banker boxes per household, and no business recycling is permitted.

A wide range of electronics are accepted — computers and laptops, printers, flat panel TVs, VCRs, accessories and ink cartridges, to name a few. For a complete list, click here.
