West U Senior Center Offers Numerous Activities Throughout December

The West U Senior Center is offering numerous activities throughout the month of December for seniors 55 and older.
December brings a slew of activities offered by the Senior Center in West University Place for seniors 55 and older.
Games and presentations:
Thursday, Dec. 9 - A representative from the Better Business Bureau will educate participants on how to choose an affordable and honest handyman service. 10:15 a.m. Free
Friday, Dec. 13 - Have your affairs in order? Learn how to prepare your documents, accounts, and other affairs to ease your families’ strain upon departure. 10:30 a.m. Free
Friday, Dec. 17 - Try the BIG BUS for a full-day trip to Calvert Texas, for a visit to the Cocoamoda Chocolate Factory for a tour and eat lunch at the small town classic café The Wooden Spoon. Calvert is an historic town full of beautiful old homes and historic sites. A tour of this history-rich town will follow lunch. 7:30 a.m. departure. Cost is $32. Space is limited please register in advanced.
Monday, Dec. 20 - Love those old Christmas songs? Come Play “Name that CHRISTMAS tune” at 12 p.m. Chili will be served afterwards. Free
Tuesday, Dec. 21 - Bring a wrapped gift (maybe something YOU received and aren’t very fond of) and join the mayhem of our White Elephant Gift Exchange. The value of the gift should not exceed $15. 1 p.m. Free
Luncheons:
Tuesday, Dec. 14 - Holiday Luncheon complete with Turkey, Taters, Cranberries, Decorations, Live music and more. Space is limited, so please register in advance.
Thursday, Dec. 30 - Bring a dish to share at the New Year’s Potluck lunch. Food, fun, and company to ring in the New Year. 11:30 a.m. Free
