West University will be hosting a paper shredding event, dubbed ‘Shred-IT’ on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the city’s Public Works Maintenance Facility at 3826 Milton St.
The event is open to residents, who must show proof of residency to participate. There is a limit of five banker boxes of residential paper. Business paper shredding will not be allowed.
Apart from shredding, the city will be collecting electronic waste, such as computers, monitors, radios, printers and fax machines.
Those who wish to attend should approach the event from the intersection of College and University and travel northbound towards Milton.
