The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the Bellaire area until 6 p.m. this evening.

South winds of 20 – 30 mph may occur through late afternoon, triggering the warning.

The winds could possibly cause travel issues on east-west oriented roads.

Drivers of vans, campers, trailers and other high-profile vehicles should be alert to the dangers of the winds.

In addition to the wind advisory, there is also a 30 percent chance of rain, including isolated thunderstorms.

The chance for storms should continue throughout the evening and into Tuesday morning.
