Young Pirates Invited To Join The Crew At The Children’s Museum

Join the Children’s Museum of Houston for the Pirates Ahoy WonderWeekend. This high-sea adventure will take young pirates through various activities and events on July 12 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and July 13 from noon-6 p.m.
Participants can make a pirate’s telescope, a hat, and uncover a secret code to unlock a treasure chest. An interactive live action pirate show allows children to join the crew at 11 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. July 12 and 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. July 13.
Children will also search for letters hidden throughout the museum and unscramble them to find the word of the day. The first 500 who find the word get a prize. Museum-goers can also bury their own treasure and challenge others to find it.
The Children’s Museum is located at 1500 Binz. Admission is $5 per person, and $4 for seniors over 65. Children under two and museum members receive free admission. For more information visit www.cmhouston.org or call 713-522-1138.
