Sales of single-family homes fell off in Bellaire and West University Place in September, with prices declining, as well.
That matched the overall pattern in the Houston area, with sales dropping 5.8 percent in September over the same month last year — the first full post-Hurricane Harvey month. On a year-to-date basis, though, Houston home sales are up 5.6 percent over 2017’s record pace, and prices this September reached the highest level ever for that month.
